FABRIC SELECTION
Jacquard Knit Fabric for Patterned Apparel
Our jacquard knit fabric range brings patterned and grid-textured knitted options into apparel sourcing. Nylon-spandex selections appear in the range for sportswear, swimwear and intimate apparel development. Begin with the pattern you want to show, then compare its scale and orientation within the intended garment panel.

FABRIC, THEN GARMENT
Make the comparison
useful to your brief.
Keep the surface, material and garment requirements together as you build a selection.
Plan your sample comparison ↗Put the pattern beside the garment
A close-up is useful for seeing a textured surface, while a larger cutting shows how its pattern sits across a panel. Keep both views in the development record. For a grid design, position the cutting with a seam or edge from the pattern so the team can discuss the appearance at that junction.
Compare texture and printed color separately
Stretch jacquard fabric is a route for a knitted pattern or texture. If the design calls for a colored motif printed onto the substrate, compare the printed stretch fabric range. Record which part of the reference you want: the surface relief, the motif, the color arrangement or a combination to discuss.
Keep adjoining surfaces in the sample
A patterned panel may sit beside a smooth knit or a different texture. Put those materials together before judging the overall design. The nylon-spandex selection provides a useful material-family starting point. Review the seam placement and the visible face without assuming that matching fiber names make two articles interchangeable.
Make the pattern requirement readable
Include the intended garment, preferred material, motif scale, color direction and sample requirement in your inquiry. Add a reference image or cutting and state which way the design should run on the panel. Keep any requested tests or measurements with that brief, together with the estimated fabric quantity for the project.
BEFORE YOU SELECT
Questions for the fabric conversation.
Which patterned materials are offered in this range?
The range includes nylon-spandex knitted selections described with jacquard and grid-pattern surfaces for apparel development. A sample request should identify the pattern and garment you want to compare.
Is a jacquard texture the same as a printed motif?
Treat the surface pattern and the printed color design as separate selection routes. Indicate which feature you want to retain from a reference so the material discussion addresses the right requirement.
What helps the team review a patterned cutting?
Show the pattern at a useful scale and position it against an intended garment panel or seam. Keep the face, orientation and adjoining fabric in the same sample record.
