A body panel, an insert and an edge finish can raise different questions when selecting underwear fabric. State which component the cutting is intended for and keep the adjacent materials with it. When choosing fabric for undergarments, the pattern and seam placement make the sample review more specific than a loose swatch comparison.
Compare smooth and ribbed nylon-spandex articles
Our nylon fabric for underwear includes nylon-spandex blends. Article 6628 has a smooth double-face surface, a 78/22 blend and a specified width of 160 cm. Article 6609 has a pronounced rib, a 75/25 blend and a specified width of 150 cm. Keep the surface and composition with each article number.
Consider the panel arrangement
If the design calls for a mesh insert, compare the power mesh options as a separate component. For stretch fabric for underwear, mark the face and direction used in the sample, then review its junction with the adjoining panel. Set any support or measured performance requirement explicitly for the planned garment.
