Brushed Knit Fabric: Compare the Raised Face

Our brushed knit fabric selection lets you compare a raised surface with the garment in view. The range includes polyester-spandex and nylon-spandex references with different face treatments. Identify which side is being used in the sample, then review the material where it meets the body, seams and edge finishes.

Identify the treated side

For a brushed stretch fabric, label the face before cutting the development sample. A neckline, cuff or turned edge may expose a different side from the main body. Assemble the intended finish and record the appearance at those points. This keeps a surface decision connected to the construction that the sewing team is following.

Keep three finishes distinct

Article 5512 is a brushed polyester spandex fabric specified with single-face brushing, a 95/5 blend and 165 cm width. Article 6615 is an 80/20 nylon-spandex reference with back brushing at 170 cm. Article 6622 is a separate 71/29 nylon-spandex option described with double-sided sanding at 165 cm.

Choose the comparison for the garment

For a winter base layer or fitted seasonal set, review the intended inner face together with its seams. A smooth reference can make the surface difference easier to discuss: article 5508 provides a smooth polyester-spandex double-face option. Keep the sample construction the same when the surface treatment is the feature being compared.

State the finish with the material request

Include the article number or desired finish, garment type, face orientation and cutting requirement in the inquiry. Add the color direction, estimated fabric quantity and any agreed measurements. If your reference has more than one raised face, say so explicitly; the number and placement of treated faces should remain part of the specification.

BEFORE YOU SELECT

Questions for the fabric conversation.

Are all the brushed selections the same finish?

The references differ. 5512 has single-face brushing, 6615 has back brushing and 6622 is described with double-sided sanding. Keep the treatment with the article number in the comparison.

Which polyester-spandex article is shown?

5512 is specified as 95% polyester and 5% spandex at 165 cm width. Its intended uses include winter underwear, yoga base layers and autumn or winter fitted sets.

What should a brushed-fabric sample show?

Show the selected face, its intended orientation and the planned seams or turned edges. Include the adjacent material where it forms part of the garment construction.
